We all lead busy private lives. Work, family, hobbies, obligations, etc… All require our time as we try to figure out how to fit it all in. Constant is the refrain “there are not enough hours in the day.” I nod my head in agreement.
With the ever-increasing popularity of social networking sites, the majority of the population now has immediate access to information that can affect their daily lives. If a person “likes” a company or product they associate with they are provided with a constant update of information on what that company and product is doing, releasing, selling, and providing. The speed limit on the information superhighway is faster than it has ever been. Want to know if that clothing store you go to is having a sale? Become a “fan” of their Facebook page or follow them on Twitter and you will be notified the moment the “Sale” sign goes up in the store window. The pace of this information now exceeds that of an organization’s website, which 5 years ago, was the fastest place to get information on what a company was up to.
